Thanks to a kind referral to an awesome web developer, we are now on the web.
Last week we were referred to a web developer in Calgary who generously gave us a 50% discount on our web development project since he also believes in and supports the cause of freedom and wanted to help us out.
Registration
We secured this awesome URL
In an obvious case of sweet serendipity, our name www.AllFiredUpForFreedom.com was available for registration so we grabbed it immediately.
Domain Pointing
Once a domain name is secured, it must be pointed to the servers that house the actual website at the hosting company, which in our case, is Wix.com. This process is usually automated and takes 72 hours to resolve through the various name servers on the internet. Unfortunately, in our case, something went wrong and we are trying to get in touch with support to correct the issue.
In the interim, we are very grateful to CV19News who is partnering with us on our news curation service. They have graciously offered to create a landing page that redirects viewers to our new website until the issue is resolved.
Simply use www.allfiredupforfreedom.cv19news.ca to direct others to that landing page where they can find the direct link back to our site.
At the moment, our domain name server pointing issue is preventing the name server from redirecting our viewers to the correct IP address where the site is being hosted. It's like the post office receiving a letter but not knowing which house to deliver it to. This unexplained error occurred during the post-registration automated setup process of the domain name by the registrar and our web developer is frantically trying to contact support to correct it. It should be resolved soon.
